Botswana Gender Protocol Summit 2014

50/50 by 2015: Demanding a strong post 2015 agenda!
Summit 14 -17 April 2014

Gender Links in collaboration with Botswana Association of Local authority (BALA) held a national summit and awards in Gaborone on April 14- 16 April 2014. The summit was attended by Executive Secretaries, mayors, deputy mayors and chairpersons of the councils. The participants included stakeholders from the police, churches, men sector, NGOs and the media. The event was graced by Mr Abraham Keetshabe, General Counsel from Office of the President, Deputy Permanent Secretary from Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs Ms Kelebogile Kgabi and the UNFPA Resident Representative Mrs Aisha Camara, Kubi Rama Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Gender Links, the President of BALA, Reverend Mpho Moruakgomo, Head of SADC Gender Unit Magdeline Madibela.
