Gender Violence Taking Stock Roundtable and regional video link

You are cordially invited to participate in a briefing ahead of the Sixteen Days of Activism to take stock of progress since the 365 Days of Action to end Gender Violence Conference in May. This assessment of progress made against the pledges contained in the Kopanong Declaration will be followed by a video link up between South Africa, Mauritius, Namibia and Zimbabwe, four countries that have similarly adopted multi sector action plans to overcome this scourge.
The event is being hosted by the World Bank and International Finance Corporation, with the support of the UN family that will also use the occasion to highlight the recent UN Secretary General’s report on Violence Against Women and Children.
