Charity Bango | Harare City Council | Has persuaded women in her ward to register short courses in bee-making projects, fish farming & farming in general |
Norea Manyika | Mazowe Rural District Council | Embarks on a goat project where she donates 3 goats (1 male & 3 female) to individuals/groups who need to economically want to empower themselves. After 3 years they return the goats while they take ownership of the any offspring that was sired during the period. |
Tapiwa Marerwa | Gweru City Council | Council has embarked on a poverty reduction & LED project by providing skills, work space, employment opportunities, tools/equipment to marginalised groups for the production of goods & services |
Joyce Phiri | Mazowe Rural District Council | The council in the Christon Bank area is employing unemployed youths, women for Road Maintenance progs, leading to a reduction in poverty & criminal activity including prostitution. |
Sibongile Mujuruki | Karoi Town Council | Creating formal vending stalls for community members as well as involving the beneficiaries in the construction of the stalls |
Lovemore Malianga | Harare City Council | Attracting cooperate support inorder to employ female social workers at community centres |
Annette Breda | Masvingo City Council | Council embarked on a programme to construct market stalls for vendors |
