Mmegi is an independent newspaper published in Gaborone by Dikgang Publishing House. It was established in 1984. In 2003, Mmegi became a daily newspaper, the only private newspaper to do so in Botswana, except for a brief period in 1987 when the Botswana Gazette did so. newspaper is now firmly established as a daily, providing an alternative to the government-owned Daily News. Going daily has given Mmegi some power on the local media landscape. The newspaper publishes its material in English.This national newspaper also has both a print and online version of its news.
