The facilitators guide provides detailed notes, interspersed with the main text, for those who will be undertaking the gender training sessions with members of parliament and decision-makers in the SADC region.

The training provides a unique opportunity for women leaders in the region to learn from each other, discover their strengths and identify actions women can take as individuals and collectively to further the implementation and monitoring of gender equality in the region.

This kind of training can also be a valuable learning experience for men and women decision makers together. The methodology and examples adopted emphasize women’s experience while analysing gender relations in leadership in SADC.
