An African Gender and Media (GEM) Publication at the Mainstreaming gender in the media conference.
GL played an active role in the biennial Know How Conference for gender and information practitioners that took place in Kampala, Uganda in July 2002.

Executive Director of GL, Colleen Lowe Morna participated in a panel discussion on mainstreaming gender in the media.
GL, with its GEM partner the African Woman and Child Feature Service produced a newspaper at the conference.
