Desription
For some Malawian womwn life is a dance. Girls grow up dancing to the dance of their fathers inherited from their ancestors. Amid growing calls for gender equality even married women are expected to dance to hthe tune of their husbands. Although women constitute 51 percent of the population – accoeding to 2008 population census – and contribute enormously to development, they are sometimes conditioned to think less about themselves, depend on men for the rest of their lives and fail to decide even when to have a child.
