• The SGDI in the HIV/AIDS sector is one of the worst performing areas for the country at 54% ranking eighth in the SADC region.
• Citizens however score the government 82%, which ranks the country at second place.
• Medical male circumcision is estimated to have prevented about 200 000 new infections in heterosexual men.
• 83 % of women receive PMTCT treatment whilst pregnant
• Care work is an unpaid profession in South Africa
