SADC Gender Protocol 2010 Barometer – Malawi launch report

Malawi has signed the SADC Gender and Development Protocol; concerted efforts now centre on lobbying for ratification. The NGOGCN has been busy campaigning for law reform relating to the Land Act, Wills and Inheritance Bills and access to justice. Success stories for Malawi include the championing of the 50/50 Campaign at a time before the existence of the SADC Gender and Development Protocol.
