The Southern African Gender Protocol Alliance convened a caucus meeting in Maputo. The meeting sought to bring together civil society organisations in Maputo working on gender issues to formalise into an Alliance network, operating at national level; to strategise for Mozambique to anchor the Lusophone Alliance Network ahead of the Heads of States Summit that will be held in Angola August 2011. Mukayi Makaya presented on the mission and structure of the Southern Africa Gender Protocol Alliance. Colleen Lowe Morna presented on the highlights and key findings of the SADC Gender Protocol 2010 Barometer.
