Berea-Gender Links Lesotho GL is holding a two days training workshop for the members of Senekane Community Council which began yesterday. The main objective according to the Country Manager Malepota Mafeka was to discuss strategic communication as councilors were encouraged to adopt the skills to use when dealing with gender issues within communities as well as to advocate the use of technology to advance their communication with other councilors in the country.
She said this workshop is held in preparation of 16 days of peace and activism against gender based violence from runs from the 25th November- 10 December annually. She said councilor are expected to deliver messages to other communities in order to ensure they stop gender based violence during the 16 days using dialogues.
