Description

A 30 year old woman of Sese was certified dead on arrival at Jwaneng Mine Hospital on Monday night after she was stabbed with a knife.

The suspect, a 28 year old man who is alleged to be the woman’s boyfriend is currently in police custody while investigations continue. Assistant Superintendent Meshack Dambuza of Jwaneng police says he received a report about the stabbing incident at around 9pm on Monday.

“What the police have gathered is that the deceased came running and screaming that someone was trying to kill her, but we dont know what had happened prior to that,” says Dambuza, adding that the police are having sleepless nights over the rising number of assault cases in the area.” Such cases, if not curbed, often result in threat to kill or murder.”
