Specific GBV campaigns

This category called for submissions from councils which have planned and been involved in specific GBV campaigns such as the 16 Days of No Violence against Women and Children campaigns, lighting campaigns etc and also included a sub-category for innovative communication strategies, including messaging, slogans, banners and posters to end GBV that have had an impact.

14 entries from 7 countries were received for various campaigns that councils have participated in including using radio programmes, talks, outreach and educative sessions and study circles, marches and implementing women’s safety plans.

4 entries from 4 countries were received for specific innovative communication strategies which included an audio CD, establishing a youth health, gender and welfare desk, demonstration project on gender and parenting including a PhotoVoice activity and digital stories and a stop GBV billboard.
