BACKGROUND
On 15 October 2007 GL and MWO-GEMSA launched the study “Gender and Advertising in Southern Africa” followed by a half day workshop on the findings of this study in relation to the AAA Code, currently being reviewed. The following is a summary of the observations and recommendations made by the workshop, which comprised five representatives of AAA member organisations; graphic designers; members of MWO-GEMSA and the Executive Director of Gender Links.
