GL, GEMSA, POWA, City of Johannesburg, SALGA and Constitutional Hill are organising the Take Back the Night march in Johannesburg.  Participants will march from Constitutional Hill through parts of Hillbrow and march back to Constitutional Hill.  During the march, a petition of 16 demands from survivors of gender violence and gender activists will be handed over to relevant officials including the police and local government. A rally will follow which will include a speak out from survivors of gender violence, speeches from officials  and a candle light ceremony in the court yard at Constitutional Hill.
