Televisão Independente de Moçambique (TIM) is a privately owned television station. The TV station was launched in Maputo in 2005 as 9TV then became TIM in 2007. In 2011, Insitec, an organization operating in Mozambique purchased a majority stake in the station making it the television stations biggest shareholder. TIM broadcasts a lot of foreign programmes, especially Hollywood films and Brazilian telenovelas. Italso has a series of weekly current affairs programmes broadcasting in the evenings They include: – 21a Hora Saúde e Ambiente: a discussion programme about health and the environment, broadcast on Tuesdays |
