Good opinion piece Tarisai, it does make one think how women are even controlled in terms of the clothes that we wear. And even though we are not always aware of it but we “wear” our clothes with societal reflections, norms, and values sad but true.
it’s summertime now, and women will be wearing much cooler clothes, with our summer dresses and skirts. unfortunatelty when you walk out of your home looking and feeling great you do not expect to be met with insults and sneering comments.
Good piece and it does make one think
what are women SAYING with the bare cleavage, exposed g-string, belly-button, mini-skirts,slit dress, tattoo right above the buttocks, almost-see-through skimpy dress (Venus Williams style) push-up bra, a top shirt that look a size or two small, skimpy dress so short you attempt to pull it down every 10 seconds, same color as skin tights, low-rider pants, etc etc…?
Women need to stop “talking” with their clothes. maybe they will be heard for once in term of their worth, for sure. It is interesting how the fashion industry promotes the accentuation of the female physique, and nothing else..and women simply go along… yet women “wish” to be admired for their Other assets.
MEN need to stop looking and treating women like sex-objects, But WOMEN NEED to Stop playing the part….especially with their clothes!
