The article concerns the masculine culture that prevents women from succeeding in business in the USA

This article may be used in training to:
Demonstrate what is meant by the “glass ceiling” and the reasons for this.   
 
Trainer’s notes
Get participants to pull out of the article ways in which male dominated work places and cultures can be alienating to women, such as men’s locker room attitudes; 90 hour weeks; sexual discrimination and harassment; inability to lodge complaints; lack of mentoring and girls networks. 
 
Some training exercises
Role play some of the cultures in trading floors (in many newsrooms too!) that alienate women. How are women likely to respond?
