One has only to listen to the language used in a particular society to measure its level of respect for women and acceptance of them as human beings.
In South African society the language tells of a society that is far from seeing women as more then mere objects.
One of the most common and stupid “justifications” for the continuing violence against foreigners, especially foreign men, is that they take “our”women.
