Thirteen out of 15 countries have signed the SADC Gender Protocol. Botswana and Mauritius remain the only two countries that have not signed but there are positive signs that they may do so.
Zambia has signed and ratified the SGP. It has also deposited its instruments.
The country has drafted a costed gender action plan aligned to the SGP.
