All of GL’s work is evidence-based. In the gender justice programme, we conduct baseline studies on Violence Against Women. GL has conducted the most extensive research of any organisation in Southern Africa on gender and the media. This covers gender in the media, in media content, media education, and audiences. GL coordinates the Southern African Gender Protocol Alliance that produces the annual SADC Gender Protocol Barometer.
