The Motlhankanyane family in Kanye is reeling with fear and anger after their toddler ws raped by a man 43 years her senior last week.

The man (name withheld) is a tenant next to the Motlhankanyane household. Granny Kedidimetse Motlhankanyane   told The Midweek Sun that it all started when the little girl was playing with other children behind the family house. After some time the baby went to the grandmother and innocently told her that the man wanted to have a word with her (grandmother). “I rhetorically asked why he would want to see me, and did not go to him because, I reckoned as a younger person, he should have summoned the courtesy to be the one to come to me if he wanted to see me,” said the little girl’s grandmother.

The granny said she then continued cooking around the fireplace only to be shocked to learn that her granddaughter had been taken away by the suspect who locked the two inside his house.
