Description

Despite its pervasiveness, gender-based violence (GBV) is one of the least talked about violations of women’s rights: most of it takes place within the private domain and is never reported (Gender Links, 2002). Despite having legislation and policies that denounce it, GBV continues to escalate in the SADC region. While countries have made efforts and set commitments to fight – and end – GBV, prevalence rates remain high.
