Lilongwe, 5 fĂ©vrier : Au cours du mois de janvier, le prĂ©sident Peter Mutharika a dĂ©clarĂ© le Malawi zone sinistrĂ©e aprĂšs que des inondations ont frappĂ© 15 des 28 districts du pays, faisant plus de 200 morts ou portĂ©s disparus et dĂ©plaçant 174 000 personnes Ă travers le pays. Le dĂ©partement de gestion des dĂ©sastres affirme que 638 000 personnes sont affectĂ©es alors que le rapport de la situation d’Oxfam indique que bien que les donnĂ©es ne soient pas dĂ©composĂ©es par sexe, les femmes et les enfants sont affectĂ©s de façon disproportionnĂ©e par ces inondations. Dans tous les camps, les femmes et les filles dĂ©passent les garçons et les hommes.
Lilongwe, 28 January: President Peter Mutharika declared Malawi a disaster zone earlier this month after floods hit 15 of the country’s 28 districts, leaving more than 200 people dead or missing, and displacing 174 000 people across the country.
