Manyame Rural District Council

Manyame is one of the few local authorities in Zimbabwe that is led by a female CEO. The local authority participated in the national summit well before it was incorporated into the COE  process. Manyame RDC has been working with survivors of gender-based violence and is actively working towards ensuring that it is reduced in their community. Currently, the council is implementing the Promoting Gender Inclusive Local Economic Development in Zimbabwe programme in partnership with Gender Links. The project is pursuing mushroom farming as a value chain to promote Local Economic Development.
