The sixteen days of activism against gender violence runs from the 25th of November to the 10th of December each year. 25 November is the international day for prevention of violence against women.

I Stories
You are invited to the launch this year’s ‘I’ Stories on 26th November 2008. The ‘I’ Stories are a series of first hand accounts of gender violence from across Southern Africa produced by the GL Opinion and Commentary Service for Sixteen Days of Activism. Stories and audio recordings are available for media.

 

Taxi Campaign and Radio Resources
A CD mix of fun and interesting audio pieces, including spots (PSAs), personal testimonies, music, reports, etc, to raise awaraness about gender violence, human trafficking, xenophobia, men as partners, etc. Contact Deborah Walter editor@genderlinks.org.za

 

Take Back the Night
Communities, activists and local and national government authorities will be reclaiming unsafe spaces in localities through â € œTake Back the Nightâ €  a global campaign started in Latin America on 29 November 2009. Read more or please contact justice@genderlinks.org.za for more information.
