END VIOLENCE! EMPOWER WOMEN!

Every year the United Nations declares the period from the 25 November, International Day for the Eradication of Violence Against Women, to the 10 December, International Human Rights Day, as the 16 Days of No Violence Against Women across the globe. The global theme for the Sixteen Days of Activism 2013 Campaign is From peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Let’s Challenge Militarism and End Violence against Women! GL and partner organisations will implement the Sixteen Days of Activism 2014 under the banner Peace begins at home: End Violence! Empower Women! GL will collaborate with partners in the Centres of Excellence for Gender and Local Government as well as the Media in a concerted drive to halve gender violence by 2015 as required by the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development. You can also support survivors of GBV
