End Violence, Empower Women – Peace begins at home
Make education safe for all

Every year the United Nations declares the period from the 25 November, International Day for the Eradication of Violence Against Women, to 10 December, International Human Rights Day, as the 16 days of No Violence against women across the globe. Gender Links (GL) and partner organisations will implement the Sixteen Days of Activism in 2015 under the banner, From Peace in the home to Peace in the world: End Violence! Empower women! We will begin our campaign on 19 November, World Entrepreneurship Day, with a celebration of women survivors of gender violence reclaiming their lives through entrepreneurship training. Watch the video.

GL will collaborate with partners in the Centres of Excellence for Gender and Local Government as well as the Media in a concerted drive to halve gender violence by 2015 as required by the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development. You can also support survivors of GBV
