Gender Links is engaging DRC media houses in the Centres of Excellence (COE) for gender in the media project. Working with 14 media houses, the COE approach builds on GL experience in working with media houses on developing and implementing gender policies and action plans through a six-stage process. The focus of this process is on the job training and support and impact assessment leading up to the 5th and 6th Gender and Media (GEM) summits in 2013 and 2014. GL is currently working with two public and four private print media houses, one private, one public and one community radio stations, one public television station, three private television and one community television stations.
