On 18 November, a Cyber Dialogue on gender-based violence (GBV) took place. Loga chaired the French forum and Davinah from the Mauritius Satellite Office and Virginie from Media Watch Organisation (MWO) as well as eight other participants from DRC, participated.

The dialogue proved to be very enriching and the major issues raised were sensationalism in GBV coverage, the role of the media in advocacy and information and the importance of women’s voices.

A meeting with MWO was carried out at GL Mauritius Satellite Office on the same day to finalise the 16 Days campaign. Some highlights besides the Cyber Dialogues will be the launch at the Municipal Council of Quatre-Bornes, the march and showcasing at Le Caudan Waterfront from the 1 to 4 December.

Gender Links Mauritius also participated in the WIN launch of Men Against Violence on Wednesday 24 November and SOS Femmes distribution of GBV t-shirts during the 16 Days campaign.
