Video and film training
The month of February provided the Mauritius Satellite Office with some particularly interesting learning opportunities. In the context of the upcoming Second Gender Justice and Local Government Summit Awards, video expert Kendy Mangra came to the office over two days to deliver intensive video training, as well as give tips for effective photography. The first section of his course was purely theoretical, providing staff with concepts such as the difference between portrait and landscape, panning and tilting, amongst others. The second and last section was entirely devoted to practice.
In-kind support
GL’s Mauritius printer offered to print flyers for free this past month. He must be very happy with our business! Director of Dragon Printing Jean-Marie Ming-Fa did 200 flyers for Gender Links.
WIP Training

She worked with two women councillors:Florise Antoine, ex Deputy Chairperson of the BRDC and Sylvie Cerveaux, Chairperson of Bambous Village Council . They both shared stories about their experience in politics with the trainees.
