KB has been busy with stage one and stage two COE activities in seven councils across Botswana and at the same time she has been hosting “I” Story workshops amidst the build-up to 16 Days.

The journey back to the local councils to follow up the local Gender Action Plan continues. This month, the GL and BALA team were in Selebi Phikwe Town Council to have a management meeting and do a situation analysis of how far the council has progressed with mainstreaming gender.

KB also met with some other important local stakeholders who work with survivors of GBV in the Selebi Phikwe region, including the Men’s Sector of the Police Service that offers counselling services to men. Meetings took place with the Police Commander and some of the counselors and survivors of GBV. The latter shared their testimonies through writing “I” Stories.
