GL experienced a 50% growth in budget and staff last year, adding depth and breadth to its work, and establishing itself as a leading voice for social justice. The GTF funding that has enabled GL to “take off” paved the way for a small Southern African NGO to qualify for funds from DFID’s strategic funding arm – the PPA. In 2010/2011, GTF and PPA together made it possible for GL to think and work more effectively, as well as improve institutional practice.
