Knowledge and Learning Manager

Gender Links, a dynamic Southern African NGO based in Johannesburg seeks to fill the post of Knowledge and Learning Manager. All applications must be received by close of business on Friday 16 December. Late applications will not be considered.

Tasks: Reporting to the CEO, the manager will be expected to conceptualise and oversee the production, dissemination, and application of knowledge products arising from GL’s work on the SADC Gender Protocol, in our media, governance and justice work.

Qualifications and skills required

  • Masters degree in social studies or equivalent qualification.
  • At least ten years experience in research, Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; knowledge of multi media production processes would be an advantage.
  • Proven track record of commitment to gender equality and diversity.
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of how to use these tools to leverage knowledge management and dissemination.
  • Excellent conceptual and project management skills.
  • Ability to set up effective processes and systems and train others in the use and maintenance of these systems.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of managers and staff; plan and make links between work.
  • Excellent knowledge of, and relationship with funders; ability to draw up business plans and to fund raise.
  • Excellent networking skills.
