Mauritius Strategy concept paper

This concept note concerns the roll out and cascading of the Centres of Excellence (COE’s) on Gender Mainstreaming for Local Government by Gender Links (GL), Mauritius inpartnership with stakeholders.

An important immediate focus of the concept note is to continue with the Gender Justice and Local Government Summit at local and regional to cater for the increasing response; broaden profile and participation at country level; increase competition and quality of entries; strengthen partnerships and ownership of the process.

Looking to the future, the concept note incorporates at national level a variety of strategies, including existing gender focal points, gender champions, peer educators and twinning at village level.
