Lindiwe Makhunga has joined the Protocol Alliance and Partnerships unit. Lindiwe is a young enthusiastic woman, oozing with energy after a good stint studying and travelling. She did her Masters in Gender and Development at the University of Sussex.       Welcome to the GL family!

Nouvelle enfants sur le bloc
Susan Mogari is not really new to us at GL. She has a long-standing relationship with us and has joined full time to help out with our heavy workload. This is her official welcome to GL.

Volunteers
Dumbiwe Hara joined GL as a volunteer this month. Dumbiwe is from Malawi and is attached to the Finance and Administration unit.   She is a cheerful young woman, who is eager to work and help out where she can.

Capacity Building
GL managers will soon embark on a management course with an emphasis on human resources which is being offered by the Gordon Institute of Business Studies. Management staff will be able to hone the many skills they pick up on the job and will also be accredited upon completion of the course.   Good luck to you all!

Some of our head office team have also shown an interest in expanding their language skills, which will certainly be an asset in this multilingual region. Beginning this month GL head office staff will have weekly French and Portuguese language lessons. Bon chance!
