COE workshops continue to spread
The Centres of Excellence programme has gotten underway in South Africa at a rather rapid pace; this quarter is proving to be exceptionally busy indeed!

Nkonkobe Municipality in the Eastern Cape had a COE workshop from 8 to 10 November. Nkonkobe Municipality is based in rural Eastern Cape and the workshop was well attended by Ward Councillors and Staff of the Council.

The SADC village level workshop held in the same council was also very productive and it was encouraging to receive positive feedback from participants who attended the workshop. The main concern was the fact that the participants who had attended the three-day workshop felt rather anxious about the forthcoming local government elections taking place in 2011.

The following COE workshop took place in Buffalo City Municipality from 17 to 19 November.
