Choir
The GL choir is practicing Christmas Carols for the end of year party. We will blow you away – watch this space! We hear that field staff has the most beautiful voices so we are looking forward to the choir practise sessions with them when they come around next week.
Walking for wellness
As part of the 16 Days campaign, GL staff joined Jacaranda Radio for the Sisters With Blisters walk on 27 November. Its aim was to stop abuse “one step at a time”. GL staff joined hands with fellow sisters and brothers to make the public aware of gender abuse. It was a fun walk for those who participated.
Take back the night
27 November was a busy day for Gender Links staff, with the Take Back the Night in Sebokeng organised in partnership with Emfuleni Local Council. It was a night of speeches! We joined hands with our fellow sisters and brothers to make the public aware of gender abuse.
Upcoming Events
Nominations for the staff awards are coming up and will be due by Tuesday 14 December. Stay tuned for further details from the ED.
